Locate Minix 3 source code to modify

Hi 

I have an assignment asking me to locate the Minix 3 source code and edit the part that handles time and message passing but I could not access the source code

cd /usr/src/kernel

but  the message return: can't cd  /usr/src/kernel

I need your help, I am a beginner in Minix

I got the source code I have from the GitHub actually. There's some repository called stichting-minix-research-foundation where you can get it

You can get the source code from the http://git.minix3.org repository. There is a mirror in https://github.com/Stichting-MINIX-Research-Foundation/minix/.
