Hi all,
I've been using the UCLA Miniscope V4 for quite some time, but recently encountered an issue: the blue LED has stopped responding and no longer turns on.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem or might know what could be causing this?
I would appreciate any insights or suggestions, as I'm currently at a loss.
Best regards,
Ella

Hi Daniel,
Actually, we typically use no more than 20% of the blue light intensity, so I don’t believe the issue is related to the LED overheating.
I’ve noticed that the software doesn’t seem to be responding properly—it might be a communication issue between the Miniscope and the software. For example, the orientation indicator on the software isn’t reacting to changes in the Miniscope’s direction, if that makes sense.
I also tried connecting the Miniscope to a different computer, but the behavior was the same: the blue LED doesn’t turn on, and the software still doesn’t respond, even though the video camera is functioning.
This leads me to believe the problem might be more complex. Would you be able to help me troubleshoot this?
Best regards,
Ella
