Hi all,

Does anyone have experience using adaptors with a USB-C port to connect the DAQ board? Just want to make sure this won't cause issues if there is no access to a regular USB port.

Hi Adrienne,
This generally shouldn't be a problem at all. A few options:
  • Using a USB cable that has USB-C and Micro USB3 on the other: As long as this a USB data cable of reasonable quality it should work great.
  • Using a passive USB-C adaptor: These just physically change the connection of the pins from one USB type to another without adding in any active processing or data repeating. These should also work great.
  • An active USB dongle or USB hub: These usually work fine too as long as they are not very low quality and support USB3. We often use these when connecting multiple devices to a laptop and normally have no issues. Again, get a decent one that supports reasonable power output and USB3 and you should be fine.
