Hello,

I’m working on implementing an epidemic routing protocol in Mininet-WiFi where nodes need to:

  1. Discover neighbor nodes when two nodes come in range of each other.
  2. Exchange packets once a neighbor is discovered.

Can anyone advise where I should start with this implementation? Any guidance on setting up custom routing protocols and handling packet exchanges would be greatly appreciated.

This depends on the scenario you want to work with, but you can start with RPL.

Thanks for quick response.
I am planning to implement an epidemic routing protocol in Mininet-WiFi where stations frequently broadcast beacon packets to identify nodes within their range.
Could you point me to where in the Mininet-WiFi codebase I should start for this kind of implementation? Or is there another method or feature already in place that could help with neighbor discovery and identifying nodes in range?
