Labels area goes missing

I launched Gmail with the Minimalist Gmail extension enabled this
morning (as always) and the portion of the navigation pane showing my
labels/folders was missing. I tried reloading Gmail, to no avail. I
then tried disabling Minimalist and reloading, and the label area
reappeared. I then tried enabling Minimalist and reloading -- and the
labels area disappeared. I tried checking and unchecking things in
the Options pages, with no luck. Basically, as long as Minimalist is
enabled, I can't see my labels; if I disable Minimalist, the labels
appear.

Did Google change code in a way that screwed this up?

BTW, I tried going to the Tracker to post this, and got a Google 500
error.

Lame, Google Code issue trackers seem to be down across the board. Oh well.

Can you send me a couple screenshots. With and without MinGmail enabled so I can see exactly what is missing?

I'm having a same issue as Randy, but instead of the labels area it's my GCal labs widget that went missing this morning.

Any leads on this?

1. Please confirm that you are both running 1.7.27
2. The Main > Hide zero inbox whitespace feature has been hiding things in the sidebar lately, see if disabling that makes a difference.
   

Randy, Unfortunately I don't have access to the old version of Google Apps Mail that you're running so I can't do any experimentation on my own. However you might try playing with some of the other options (options outside the navigation tab may still affect navigation if something is wrong with them)

2. Disabling zero inbox whitespace did the trick.
