Help with the new Gmail Compose

Hi Ansel,

Any development targeting the new Gmail Compose format?  This upcoming mandatory change by Gmail is disheartening!  

Too many clicks to get at the right functionality - everything is hidden or low contrast!  Apparent lack of support for some useful labs/extensions (canned responses, autopen).

Can you help bring this back to what come of us power users need?

To be honest, I love the new compose window. I agree that hiding formatting options was a bad design choice but it hasn't affected my productivity since I was already using the keyboard shortcuts for formatting and they haven't changed.

The new compose window lets you write an email while looking at an email in a different thread without having to pop out either of them. That has increased my productivity quite a bit.

I guess what I'm saying is that I wouldn't have made them same choices if I was Google, but I'm also not going to prioritize fixing them.
