need, little one paragraph introduction about panel / windows difference

i am about to start porting flex app (drawing application) to minimal comps version. whats difference between window and panel? except windows can be resized / dragged etc.

for simple alert msg, what should i use? panel or window?

any place, where i can found documentation..

You can use either, really. A panel is a general container. A window adds things on top of that, as you have noticed. If you don't need the extra stuff,just use a panel.
