Hi I have an idea for a modified minimak 4 layout. I use minimak 4 daily but I would absolutely love it if there is a minimak 6 layout that swaps the semicolon and "P" key. I've come to notice how little I actually use my right (dominate hand) pinkie finger. I was hoping you can include this as an experimental layout. I just don't know how to make this modification myself. Please help out!

I'd be glad to help out.  What platform, Windows, Mac, Linux?

Personally I've found 6-key to be optimum for switching between Minimak and QWERTY, although it's the J-N switch I've added.  I believe at least one other person in the forum has come to the same conclusion.  At one point I was even going to release it as MinimakV2, but updating the website was a bit overwhelming so it never happened.

You could easily add both, or just your switch.  I'm happy that it's useful in any manner.

I use Windows and Linux regularly. I've already attempted to modify the files for Windows by making a .reg file myself but I'm unsure if I did it correctly.

I'm glad I found the minimak layout after struggling with a brief full commitment to dvorak. I recognize that muscle memory for qwerty is a required skill when working on multiple computers. I like minimak 4 and I tried minimak 6 but I would like to stick with 4. I still want more use out of my right-hand pinky while typing with minimak 4 by swapping the P and semicolon keys. I've come to notice how I often use my right-hand ring-finger to reach for the letter P instead of using my pinky. I type around 70wpm. I would call it something like a minimak 6 alternative layout or a minimak 5 layout.

That was probably me doing the j-n switch for Minimak 6. I use it on all my computers :)
Once you see how the settings work, it's easy to customize it for yourself.
