minikube on VMware -keeps resetting to default!!!

i have minikube 1.23 running on a VMware workstation image (all windows).....i add resources and apps to the cluster, but if I minikube stop and start, it loses everything I did and just start like a new setup!!!
i dont see anything wrong on the VMware logs, but the VMDK disk file reflects the additions am adding due to its much larger size that default.....any ideas where to look?
