As this Alumni group begins to expand, I see it as my duty to keep everyone informed about what is happening at camp as I have constant contact with it. With registration, we have made progress since the early winter, but still trying to catch up with last year's enrollment. I have attached a comparison chart between last year and this year at this point in time (not cumulative). Another issue has come up with retention. The national average among camps is 55%, while Minikani has been at 49% for the past couple years. This is another issue that we are trying to solve as an Ad Staff right now. As the upper powers of camp have changed, these are the issues that they have left behind. I look forward to the Alunmi Reunion in August, as I believe it will reinvigorate many staff members, young and old.

Hey Brian,

Thanks for keeping us informed.  I unfortunately cannot get the attachment open.  Could you send it in a different format or let me know what to use to use to open a XLSX file?  It would be appreciated.

In the spirit,
Rob

Thanks for the new document.  It sounds to me like you guys are doing all of the right things to get things back on track.  My kids are signed up for this summer.  See you then. Rob

Brian,
Thanks for keeping us informed.  Two questions, though. 1. when you say retention do you mean staff?  If so, that is a frightening statistic given that Minikani was always known for being well above average in that department.  If this is true then it seems that camp needs more help than I thought. 2. I am confused by the chart, is this saying that there are only 4 kids signed up for session 1, i.e. not even 1 full cabin worth?  Maybe I am just not understanding it.

the explorer boys numbers are what jump out to me...is the cost/time
away from sports a mitigating factor for these programs? from what i
can see, equestrian isn't that big of an overall drain on resident
camp numbers. also, brian, i agree w/gehl: what do these numbers mean
i terms of individual versus cabin enrollment.

What up Andy!

Hey, do you have any emails of people who have not joined the Minikani group yet?

Hopefully you guys will be able to make the Alumni weekend in August!

Best,

MAUDA
