Hello Everyone,

We are pleased to announce that MiniGUI Extended Edition Build 24.11 is now available!

This latest version is stable and ready for production use.

You can download the free STANDARD build for Borland C++ 5.8.2 at the following link:

https://hmgextended.com/files/CONTRIB/hmg-24.11-setup.exe

This release includes a DEBUG version of the MiniGUI library to assist with development and troubleshooting.

For those who need the PROFESSIONAL build, a password-protected 7z archive can be downloaded here:

https://hmgextended.com/files/CONTRIB/hmg-24.11-pro.7z

The Pro version of MiniGUI offers several performance and usability advantages.
It includes optimized Harbour binaries and a release build of the MiniGUI library, enhancing application speed and stability.
Additionally, the Pro build supports a wider range of samples, including applications, utilities, and tools, as well as SQLRDD libraries for SQL database integration. This makes the Pro build ideal for professional or complex projects needing advanced customization and robust database support.

Please note, the password for the PRO build is available to all MiniGUI donors.

We highly recommend upgrading to this build to benefit from the newest features and enhancements.

A special thanks to all our donors for their continued support, which helps keep MiniGUI evolving and growing!

Best regards,
Grigory Filatov
MiniGUI Team

Hello friends
Once again when upgrading to the new version 24.11 the problem with the IDE seeing errors recurs.
The latest version I have working 23.10
When updating to versions 2410 and now 2411, when compiling through the ide, when there is an error in the code, although the IDE reports an error, it does not show the error, it follows the screens comparing the behavior between the versions.

The first three images are from the build with the new version 2411
The last two images are from version 2310 that showed the errors normally.

Hello Ronaldo,

I've already update the hmgs-ide archive at

You can see my result for code error handling in this IDE in the pictures below.

then press 'Fix Errors' button

and when we correct the source code line

By the way, you can also update your IDE via Help->Update menu.

Hello
Grigory
your information about the IDE update solved the issue about the display of errors
Thank you for your attention.

When compiling an existing project into the new version, the following message appears:
_HB_FUN_HB_ZIPOPEN' referenced from C:MINIGUILIBMINIGUI. LIB|h_misc

Do I have to include any library?

Hi Grigory,

The number one problem that causes so much frustration is compiling a new module, after switching from Borland to Mingw.  Kresin's hwbuild utility helps in some cases.  But specifically in the case of HB Commander https://github.com/dev-harbour/hc, I wasn't able to build it.

3 questions:

1.  Does this IDE make compiling easier, bypassing environmental variables and just using the PATHs in the configuration?

2.  Can the IDE build console apps?  That's what I work with, the most.

3.  Can it have multiple configurations, that can be saved and restored?

I'll send another donation, in the next few days.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your continued support!

>  Does this IDE make compiling easier, bypassing environmental variables and just using the PATHs in the configuration?
Yes, sure.

>  Can the IDE build console apps?
No, it isn't.
But we have the MPM (Minigui Program Manager) utility for buildiling console apps (see in folder \Utils\MPM).

> Can it have multiple configurations
The IDE creates an individual config INI file together with a project  HPJ file for each project.
You can manage this config ini in the Preferences setting for each project independently.

Thank you for your attention.

Grigory
