Dear MiniGUI Community,

We are pleased to announce the release of HMG Extended Edition – Build 26.07 (2026/07/15).

Version 26.07 is another major quality and maintainability release, focused on modernizing the internal codebase while preserving complete backward compatibility. This build introduces extensive refactoring across several core components, improves code consistency, reduces duplication, strengthens error handling, and prepares the project for easier long-term maintenance—all without changing existing APIs or application behavior.

🛠 Core Refactoring

This release continues the modernization of the HMG codebase, focusing on cleaner architecture, reduced duplication, improved consistency, and easier maintenance while preserving full backward compatibility.

* Menu Customization API (C Layer): Refactored caption handling, centralized menu style logic, improved validation and memory management.
* DatePicker / TimePicker: Shared initialization helpers, consolidated SYSTEMTIME handling, cleaner internal implementation with no functional changes.
* StatusBar: Unified internal control registration and removed duplicated initialization code.
* TReg32 Registry Class: Simplified registry access, standardized initialization and error handling, improved code organization.

🔧 Library Updates

* HbMySQL: Refactored implementation with improved error handling, robustness, portability, and code quality.
* Harbour SevenZip: Internal cleanup and maintainability improvements.
* HbSQLite3 (PRO version only): Updated to SQLite 3.53.3.
* Harbour Compiler (PRO version only): Updated to Harbour 3.2.0 Final.

📚 Sample Improvements

Numerous samples were updated with cleaner code, improved documentation, and better organization, including enhancements to 'TagBox Search Filter', SQLMIX, MenuRES, AppEvents, MESSAGEONLY_WINDOW, 'Console To GUI', and 'Disk Space Usage Graph'.
