to Harbour Minigui
Good morning friends,
Since 2002 I have been developing my systems in Harbour with Minigui and BCC5x. Before, my systems were in Clipper 5.2, but none of my systems were convertible to Harbour, as I used a graphics library called CLBC from the company SOFTCAD in São Paulo, Brazil.
Since 2002 I started with Minigui 0.9x, still under the control of Roberto Lopez, and today I use Minigui Extend from Grigory Filatov's team.
The only system I actually converted from Clipper 5.2 to Harbour was DBU, and I believe all my colleagues did the same.
All my systems I rewrote using Harbour and Minigui.
But I received some requests to convert a system in Clipper 5.2 to Harbour, however the client doesn't want to rewrite the system in a Windows interface, they want to continue with the console interface. If the system were like DBU, pure Clipper 5.2, it would be simple. The detail is that it's a system generated by the GASPRO 4.0 system generator, which was widely used when Clipper was still viable. I haven't found a version of GASPRO for Harbour.
And in the case of programs generated by GASPRO, it incorporates at least one proprietary library, for which I haven't found a version for Harbour yet.
As far as I know, GASPRO for Clipper has been discontinued, and they created a new version of GASPRO for Delphi and before that for Visual Basic.
After this long context, my question is, do any of you, especially from Brazil, have the necessary knowledge to convert a Clipper 5.2 system generated by GASPRO to Harbour?
If so, please advise me or provide me with the service.
Obviously, any fees charged by my colleagues will be passed on to the client, and I will only proceed if the client approves.
I await your response.
Happy Easter to all.
Thank you.
