Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that we now have a new list set up for
folks interested in building wheels:
wheel-b...@python.org
https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/wheel-builders
https://github.com/pypa/wheel-builders
This wouldn't be a replacement for the gcc-specific parts of the
mingwpy list, but the idea is that instead of having one list for
windows wheels, one list for linux wheels, etc., then this is a shared
space where people who are trying to build wheels can work together on
common tools and share knowledge. In particular I think this can be a
good place to figure out some common infrastructure for handling
things like native library wheels (e.g. openblas-in-a-wheel), or for
figuring out how to add windows support to tools like
auditwheel/delocate.
Please do spread the word if there are more people who you think would
be interested!
