MINESHAFTER 2016 PROBLEM SOLVED WITH STEPS

[DeathCraftVidz Gaming]

Step 1: Download Erin Dachtler's Mineshafter (Which I Will Be Attaching) And Login Normally And It Should Work Now

Step 2: Set Your Directory To Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft So It Would No Longer Crash "Error Cannot Find info.mineshafter.GameStarter" And If You Can't Do That For Whatever Reason, Either U Have Multiple Versions Running Or Have Another Directory, You Can Try Copying The Files In .minecraft folder and pasting them in your directory (and DONT overwrite any files, skip them instead.)

Step 3: Play Normally! Now All Your Problems Are Solved! If You Have Any More Problems, Please Tell Us By Replying to this post! Thank You <3

Did You Try making the game directory to the .minecraft folder?

Did You try copying all the files in the .minecraft folder and putting it into your game directory and without overwriting files (press skip) ? try that.

other than that, sorry i can't help. 

ALSO i noticed that mineshafter skins dont load yet. i think the team is  still workin on it.

Well that fixed my error, but I have multiple profiles set up in different directories with different game versions (modded and unmodded) and I CAN'T use the default minecraft folder.

Until this is REALLY fixed, a workaround I found is to copy the Mineshafter-launcher.jar file in the profile folder and rename it to ms-starter.jar

The profile folder can be found in the launcher by clicking the Edit Profile button and then clicking on Open Game Dir

Also, I noticed that if the game is modded with Forge 1.8.9 is able to start, but when I try to open or create a new world, it crashes.

I've tested with other launcher and with same version of Forge and it works just fine.

Haxxy's Method works. Everyone Try Doing As Follows:

1) Copy Mineshafter_launcher OR the launcher I attached

2) Paste It Into Game Directory (Edit Profile Then Open Game Dir) <----- In The Launcher Of Course

3) Rename The Copied Launcher To ms-starter.jar OR ms-starter

This is what I did- and it worked for me.

1. I deleted the .minecraft folder. 

2. I installed jarfix from mineshafter.info by going to downloads up top. Open up jarfix and press ok.

3. I opened up mineshafter, then logged in, edit profile, open game dir and copied my mineshafter-launcher there, renaming it to ms-starter, withOUT .jar

4. I also copied mineshafter launcher to the desktop.

5.Then i downloaded all the files by pressing play in mineshafter launcher and to my surprise mineshafter launched minecraft!!

 I hope this works- Do everything as follows and it may work. Best of Luck- Hope it works :DD

I have found a much easier solution.  

Right-click .minecraft folder. 

GOTO: Properties, Security Tab, Advanced Button, Owner Tab, click EDIT.  

Single-click your name on the "Change Owner to" list (yes, I understand it shows you already as the owner) and then click the box "Replace Owner on subcontainers and objects".  Click OK 4 times.

You could try going to run and typing in %appdata%. Then delete .minecraft. Open your launcher and click play.

Thanks fotr the Info i applied it with a booster program and my launcher works twice as fast and no lagging so idk what you did but awsome
