Players getting kicked out.

Me: Start minecraftedu server with new world and login via multiplayer direct connect using IP provided in the server information. I can play no problem.

Test student: Logs into the server and is kicked out roughly a minute later every time. Error reads: Internal Exception: java.io.Exception: an existing connection was closed by the remote host. Then lists IP address and port 25565.

Any help would be appreciated.

If I am reading that right (which it is entirely possible I am not) you are using Java 7U25, try updating to a newer version of Java on the client machines and see if that fixes your problem, I have vague recollections of 7U25 causing issues.

Hi Chris,

I experienced this issue this week while setting up a new MinecraftEdu 1.7.10 20 server. I had added in a few mods between the old and new server build so started weeding through to see why it suddenly started occurring on the new server build.

I traced it down to the client-side OptiFine mod. If you're using this client-side mod I suggest removing it and testing again.

Hey All,

Always best to start a new version of MCEdu with a fresh install, make sure it is running before adding any mods.

Then slowly add mods one at a time. Also make sure you are getting the most recent mods for the version you are running.

If this isn't the issue, then please provide more info so we can help you out.
