Hi,

I have minecraftedu running on a linux box. I am trying to login as a teacher but i am not sure what the password is. When i created a password using the client launcher app, it still wouldnt take that password to log into my multiplayer game as a teacher. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks,
treost

I would suggest you redo the teacher password setting on a local install and then delete the install from the linux box (backup up whatever you want to keep) and then re upload your local install to the server.

Thanks! that worked!  Do you know when you make changes like this what files get affected by it so I only need to re-upload them to the linux server instead of having to upload the entire minecraftedu folder?

Thanks,

You could just upload the servertool folder to be safe, otherwise you may miss some updated files.

In which file is the teacherpassword stored?

It is stored encrypted, so there is no way to get it back.

I am not sure if you need more but the following worked for me

First I changed the teacherpassword in my local copy of minecraftedu-server.
Second I just copyed the file   "servertool/settings/serverwizardsettings.ini"  to the linux-server.

Restarting the minecraftedu on linux the new teacherpassword is nessesary.
