Hi there

Here is how to convert your PC vanilla world to Education Edition / PE

The tutorial is a bit rough, but its the 2nd time I run it through. Happy converting!

Nice video - If someone has converted the old edu worlds can they be put in a shareable place so we can use those with Minecraft education edition?  thanks.

You can post .mcworld worlds directly to docs.com its pretty useful and other folks in the community are doing this as well. -Neal

Is the inverse also possible? We only have the Vanilla edition of Minecraft, so I would like to make Edu maps work in there, and have the blocks from the Edu edition ported over or replaced with viable substitutes from Vanilla or other mods.

Technically, yes, it is possible to convert from EE to Java 1.12.2 ... although the 'crossover' is not exact, the basic structures are there but some of the blocks do not 'marry up' very well.

I am in the process of writing a how to guide and video tutorial on how. I will let you know when I get it done.

Great! Thank you. Our budget is a little tight, so that would be great if we could use MinecraftEdu maps on Minecraft Vanilla.
