Hi all,
I've been running Minecraft EDU in my classroom for a few months now and everything's been running smoothly, up until now...I go to launch the server from a presaved world my students have been working on for a while now and I am trying to have them connect to the server in multiplayer mode and it's not even showing that the sever is running while I have it up and running on my computer. Server has the green light saying it running but it we are still having issues connecting to it. I keep on getting the error "Failed to connect to the server: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information: : 10.1.5.101:25565". Anyone know what might be the issue or how I could resolve this? Thanks everyone!

If the server isn't showing up on the kids' computers, but it shows the green light indicating that it is, indeed, up and running - then it leads me to think they may not be on the same network.  Do the kids' computer have ip addresses within the same range?  Can they ping the server computer?  I have also run into the issue, when using LAN cables, that if I don't disable the wireless the computer will try to function on wired and wireless simultaneously and that can really mess things up.
Otherwise, maybe the problem lies in the router.  I had this problem during one camp I ran where everything was set up perfect - but wouldn't work.  After an hour I just reset the router to factory defaults and it worked perfectly afterwards.
Just some thoughts - I hope it works out for you!
