Greetings,

I am trying to figure out how to make a Death Counter that creates a scoreboard that shows how many losses each team has accumulated. I know Michael Harvey has one in his Water Challenge Remix world.

I'm trying to create something similar but don't know where to begin.

Can anyone out there help?

Thanks,
Joel S.

The best place to look for this info is on the Minecraft wiki, search for "scoreboard" and that will have the info you require. (It is blocked at my work location currently so I cannot get you more specific than that).

The other option is to search youtube for deathcount minecraft and see if any of the video tutorials fit with what you are looking for.

Joel,
You could also create a schematic of the circuits in my world then move them over to new world. They are located underground near the spawn point.

Hi Michael,

I've thought about copying your schematic from the Water Challenge Remix, but wasn't sure how to do it since you have TWO sections that need to be copied: the Colored Walls and the "basement" area with all the Command Blocks and Redstone. Any suggestions on how to get both the colored walls AND the basement area copied so they work together.

Warning, I've never used schematics before, so this is all new to me.

Thanks,
Joel

The basement is the mechanics that you were asking about. The colored doorways just assign the players to a team and teleport them to their area. You can inspect those command blocks to see the commands if you wish, but as Elfie said it's all right on the wiki as well.

Thanks for the advice. I also found a PDF (attached) that explains how to set up a "Scoreboard" using commands.

Would this work in MC Edu, too?

Yup. All vanilla command block functionality exists in MCEdu.
