I am just laying out a small activity for our grade 4 students to try at the end of the school year. I would like to have NPCs hand out their building items - different NPCs will handout out different materials so I can easily see which group has made each creation.

I have watched tutorials online and have the NPCs working fine, but they hand out their items as soon as a player gets close. I would prefer to have the player have to right click on the NPC to get their items, rather than picking up another group's items by accident by walking too close to their NPC.

The change log on the mod says that players do have to interact to get their items... but that's not the case for me. What am I missing?

Thanks for any help!

Currently the only way to do that is adding the /give command to a dialog option. I was thinking of adding availability options to the ItemGiver making it possible to trigger after a certain dialog option. That would solve your problem in the future.

The changelog indeed says the itemgiver was giving on interact, but all that changed when I added roles and jobs. Roles are active things usually with GUIs and require active interaction from the player. Jobs are passive which happen automatically
