Possible to extract text stored in book & quill?

Hi all, is there any way to easily extract text kids enter into book & quill? Maybe this could be a feature request?

Hey Kevin,

Typically the devs stay away from adding any sort of functionality that can be added with a mod.

There is a mod called Bibliocraft, that has a printing press in it. That printing press makes it possible to export books.

Place the book on the press, and process it. When it says saved, you have a "books" folder created within your minecraft server directory. It has no extension, but it does open in word, pages, etc...

Beyond this, the mod has a bunch of great features like the tape measure, clipboard, lights, chairs, shelves...etc.

Kevin, I would also recommend a separate editing tool, InvEdit. http://www.eminecraft.net/invedit-tool/

You won't have to add an extra mod to your installation, and worry about if the mod authors will be keeping up to date.

Just have the books in your inventory, then you can use this program to edit your profile file. You can extract book text, or import it, and make copies of books, etc.
