Hi All,

We are having great fun using the multiplayer function of the software.

However, the teacher running our MC club has great trouble with children starting their own single-player games and opening them up to the LAN. We'd would rather they all join the dedicated server we have configured.

Is there a way to disable the open to LAN feature using perhaps an edited configuration file?

Hi Peter, I take it students are playing single player then, there is the option to remove both the Start Minecraft button from the launcher, and the Single Player option from within MinecraftEdu. Please look at the following wiki pages for the solution.

maybe this is the wrong topic but is there the same options to remove the lan button in the nonED minecraft?

You are going to need to be more specific as to what the "nonED Minecraft" that you are speaking about actually refers to. Does it refer to 'vanilla' Java based Minecraft for the Mac/PC, do you mean Pocket Edition on iPads or mobile devices, or do you mean the Win10 Edition of Minecraft..... There is also the Minecraft: Education Edition to consider, but your 'nonED' seems to discount that version.

Elfie.
