Nonogram logic puzzles make good construction tasks in Minecraft (with ComputerCraft, or the Ruby and Python flavors of Minecraft Pi):
The most proficient students might solve the Nonogram on paper, then write one reusable script to place the blocks.
At the opposite end of experience: A student whose "hint turtles" solve the entire puzzle can feel rewarded because solved Nonogram can make clever icons.
Between those students are students who are feeling incrementally rewarded for writing longer scripts, and solving harder Nonograms.
