Since there has been a recent call for more order, this thread is for
those who wish to jump from one topic to another, with a fairly messy
sense of order. Enjoy! :-)

Does that mean this is to be a mindless - eye thread, wandering through the waste lands of mentality?
As for the messy part my wife agrees that I am.

Food of course..  actually I had a salad.. have one almost every lunch time...  can buy a premade one that is good at the local store where I shop ,, it is cheaper there than I can make it, now the wild parrots had their usual helping of sunflower seed and the local bird population also joined in and pebbles  she had her tooth bone.. the frog were relaxing in the pond after a successful morning hunting bugs in the garden, the wood pecker came and checked the trees for bugs,, the merels are having a successful day hunting worms,, and the crows stopped by for a snack of peanuts and fat balls
that was about it for lunch.. boring life huh?
Allan
PS My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be comfortable.

Let us all celebrate the fact that we are Human.....i mean .we could
have have been born anything...a microbe.a fish.. a
chameleon...anything at all...we are the only species that has an
evolved faculty of thought(BTW wat do animals think about)and can thus
marvel upon the wonders of Universe...we are the only one who can feel
a really wide range of emotions...think...now to be able to think is a
real gift...though most of us take it for granted....we can Create..we
are the only ones who can ponder on how we came into being....the
reason for our existence...acknowledge that Higher Power of which we
are all a part...IT IS a privelage to be Human....so let us all be
thankful...

yep, humanity is a wondrous thing, but the things that make us special
and unique, can also make us unhappy. i have often thought about how
nice it would be to be a cow ... u know, just eat/crap/sleep, eat/crap/
sleep etc. ... no morgage to worry about, no dentists, no headaches,
no jealousy, no finger nail cutting, no bad hair days, no exams, no
wondering where the next meal is coming from, etc. ... can u imagine
waking up and all around u is limitless amounts of your favourite food
and youve got nothing else to do but eat it? now thats heaven
man!!! ;-^)

all joking aside kid, the mind and spirit are wonderful things and, if
treated with respect and the desire for growth, life can be a bowl of
cherries ... speaking of fav foods ......

Hey kid  that is because we live around the world and there are 24 time zones.. right now I am waiting for my inlaw ( not outlaws) so that we can have a BBQ.. and it is 2Pm roughly or let see..  1400 hrs  I think  I am not to bright with tthe 24 hr clock.

oh we have a tropical climate here.....i agree wid you e_... but
see... being a cow you wont be able to appreciate the beauty of nature
around you...for you that would just be your food...and you will eat
coz you are hungry... and you wont even appreciate all the free time
you have....the great thing about us is that we can know all these bad
emotions like jealousy and violence.. and yet chose to be
harmonious....it is this ability to appreciate that sets us
apart....we appreciate the lazy hours coz we cant really sit on our
arse the whole day if we have to survive in this world.....you would
better enjoy the pastures as human than as a cow...

now one question keeps bugging me a lot...wat do animals think
about..wen they are just sitting around doing nothing..... i look at
my pet rabbits sometyms....they just sit there. staring into emty
space...and they sit like that for hours... they dont even sleep....
and i just look and think..wat is going on in that small brain of
theirs. they cant be just staring into emptiness wid a blank
mind.....if there is an animal expert in the house maybe they can shed
some light on "wat the Hell are those animals thinking".......

they are thinking about carrots and worrying about elmer fudd ;-
^) ... i know my dog dreams constantly, her feet twitching and often
making noises ... animals (other than human) definately have
personality ... my brother in law is a dairy farmer and some of his
cows are very friendly and let me maul them, while others wont come
close to me ... they MUST be thinking something ... while living on a
farm recently i fed lots of birds from my hands, but some never would
come to me ... its hard to say ... i guess the only way to know is to
have a brain swap! ;-^)

Do animals respond to us or we to them? My last pet was a Black Lab-
for 13 years- and I conversed with him in paragraphs but he also knew
when I uttered a word he was eager to hear- like "treat", "out", etc.
and grab it. He lacked a human sense of time- whether I left him for
minutes, hours or days. He would sigh and shiver when he was sleeping
sometimes- was he dreaming?//Horses can smell fear along with many
other mammals- keep your eye on the ears of horse.//Birds weren't much
fun- they are buried in the garden wrappen in foil in Velveeta
coffins. Nor were little lizards- I forget their name- cold blooded
creatures- although chameleons are intriguing.//Fish are too contented
swimming around in circles.//Once had a small turtle race at a
gambling/dinner party.//Had a dream recently about two kittens
climbing out of the shower drain and my daughter packing a huge trunk-
a strange complicated dream- the crisis was there was no litter box!

hehehe ... cute ;-^) ... i like the idea of other animals being smart
and that we respond to each other, although its 'usually' for
different reasons .. some communicate for fun and not just for
food ... and thats what i really enjoy ... some birds stay in my hands
longer than others ... the one nuthatch would pick through the seeds
on my hands and select the best at her queenly leisure ... my buddy,
'greedy' the chipmunk, became so tame that he'd let me pull on his
ears and even his tail while his flippin head was deep in my pants
pocket filling his massive jowls with sunflower seeds ... dang i miss
that little brat waaaaaahhhhhhhhh

to add: animals respond to me more than the other way around ... why?
cuz i pester them until they HAVE to respond to me, after which they
sometimes accept me ... i fake casual interest, but entice them with
desperate love as a tonic (and treats of course ;-^), and it often
works ... i judge how much the desperate part of the strategy worked
by the amount of time our bodies are in contact ... i would actually
sacrifice quite a few body parts in order to be a bird ...

I think cats are useless as domestic animals. They serve no purpose,
aren't affectionate in any meaningful way and you can't even play with
one. Ok, kittens are cute but after they're grown they lose their
appeal. We should genetically alter them so they die after one year.
