to Mind Power
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the sharpest tack
in the room? Have you ever observed someone else that was totally
intelligent and had such fast recall that it was scary? How would you
like to be like that times 10? It is possible and you can make that
happen if you will exercise your brain and develop your mind to work
at those speeds.
Why not increase your mental acuity to the greatest genetically
possible point for you? How should you go about this? Well, why not
learn some mind development techniques and practice? After all if you
were an Olympic athlete that is what you would do to get better at
your sport right? Sure you would so why wouldn't your mental acuity
and brain be in any different? Don't answer that, you and I both
already know that answer; it's basically the same thing isn't it?
So, how do you work out your brain and what sort of practice is good
for the mind to make it perfect? Well, I am glad you asked that
really, but first, let's understand perfection is over rated, and not
genius that has ever lived had a perfect brain, rather their minds
just worked better, faster and they were a little thicker, perhaps
from all the practice.
Are you suggesting I do cross word puzzles, master a Rubic's Cube, or
play Jeopardy along with the TV? Sure, those are all good, but you can
also ask yourself questions, work on solutions to problems giving
yourself time limits. How about the old MIT test for new first year
engineering students? Write down as many uses for a pencil besides
writing in 3-minutes; start now. See, you can do this, I know you can.
Oh, I also need you to read this book as part of your mind development
training:
"Discover Your Genius" Author: Michael J. Gelb, Illustrated by Norma
Miller; Quill Publishing, a division of HaperCollins Publishers, New
York, NY; 2002. ISBN: 0-06-093790-4. Note; this author also wrote the
bestselling non-fiction book; "How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci!"
