Hello all,

I would like to use MindMup from home and from work via Google Drive, to work on certain min maps wherever I am. The integration with Google Drive works perfectly fine from home. At work, I'm connected behind a proxy, and it looks like MindMup doesn't like this. I tried to browse extension free, but it doesn't solve the issue. When I want to create a new document, or load a pre-existing one, I get this message each time:

The login to my Drive account works fine (I see my account name in the top right corner), and all Google Docs apps work fine.

Did someone encounter the same problem with MindMup? If so, is there a solution?

Thanks,

Félix

it's possible that third party cookies are blocked on your work browser, or that something else is interfering with third party authentication. when you use mindmup, and authenticate using google drive, the browser treats google drive as a third party. so although direct drive access works, it may not allow it as a third party.

Hello Gojko,

Thank you for your very fast reaction on this topic! It's nice to see you're willing to help your users.

I'm using Chrome, fyi, and third party cookies are enabled, I even allowed drive.mindmup.com manually. It didn't solve the issue. Do you have any idea on how to solve it?

Félix

we have a troubleshooting page that does some standard tests, that might point to a problem: https://drive.mindmup.com/test-drive.html

ok, this means the issue is definitely not in the connection. can you try to open the chrome console and see if there's anything in there once the site fails to create/load a map? (if you don't know how to open the console, here is how: https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/)

this looks as if your network admins are blocking it. check with them if 10.123.4.154 is some kind of router blocking access to insecure data over the internet.

Ok, now it's clear my admins are blocking it with websense.

This is bad news, because I wanted to use it within my organization to work with colleagues. And Google Docs are fully accessible, so I don't really get it.

try using https://app.mindmup.com - this won't give you collaboration (yet), but it does not require access to Google Drive.
