Hello,

I couldn't find a conversation related to this topic.

I keep seeing a red exclamation point on the MindMup icon on the chrome apps page. The message says:

MindMup 2.0 is no longer supported. Old versions of Chrome apps won't open on Windows devices after December 2022.

Does this mean I can't use MindMup after December 2022? If yes, are there any solutions to open and edit my files after that date?

Thank you.

Hi - can you please send us a screenshot of that?

You can always just access MindMup from https://www.mindmup.com, and/or open files directly from your google drive. You don't need to use a chrome app for MindMup.

thanks. we investigated this and the message you see (Old versions of Chrome apps won't open on Windows devices after December 2022) is just warning that legacy Chrome apps will stop working in general. Your data is safe, and your access to MindMup will not be affected.

Chrome Web Apps were promoted by Google until 2016, and they decided to remove the support gradually, fully removing them in December 2022 (see https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/1053346). it's not just the mindmup app, generally all chrome apps will stop working on windows machines.

Just use the web site instead.
