Downloaded Mind map file from personal account, how to open in G suite?

So, recently we made the shift to Google workspace and i downloaded all of my files an folders, and reuplouded them to a google workspace account.  

We are now unable to open the mind mup file. 

I think it must have converted it to a different file type. 

In the personal account, I didn't do anything special to open the mind mup, i just went open with, and the option was there.

When I do the same with my g suite account, it only says to connect with more apps. 

I called Google work space, and they said everythign is good on my end. 

I'm able to make new mind mups but not open my existing one. 

What shold I do?

Can anything be done?

or do we need to recreate the file?

try linking MindMup for Google Drive with your workspace account - this should tell Google Drive how to open the files. Check the instructions here: https://www.mindmup.com/tutorials/google-drive.html

if that does not help, try temporarily renaming the files to have a .mup extension - you should get an option to open them with MindMup.
