Like others I noticed that mindjolt does non display ads on a non-
mindjolt portal. Because of the nature of mindjolt we can't sitelock
the swf to a specific set of domains(as far as I know). Because of
this the version of our game we distribute on mindjolt must be
considered a viral version because it will no doubt spread to some non-
minjolt sites if not site locked. We have included ads in the viral
version of our game and would like to keep them on non-mindjolt
portals. Is there a way to detect if the mindjolt api had detected
that it's on a mindjolt portal? I'm using as3. I would like to
enable our ads(CPMstar) when the game detects it's not on a mindjolt
portal and disable them when it is.

Also i would like to ask, what domain i should sitelock the mindjolt
version of my game?

For Cave Jhones (actualy waiting review on mindjolt developers) i just
site-locked it to mindjolt.com.

When the game goes live it will run on the different social networks
(orkut, facebook, hi5, ...) if sitelocked to mindjolt.com???

If dont, what are the domains wich i need to sitelock the game???

PS: I want to sitelock it because the mindjolt version does not have
for example mochisocial, mochiscores and other stuff wich are more
suitable for a public version but blocked on minjolt. An also because
some people tell me the mindjolt ads will only work on mindjolt
network.. so having a public mindjolt game will be loss of advertise
revenue..

Hello my new friends,
I’m told that you can indeed sitelock your .swf to a particular
domain. For MindJolt, that domain should be mindjolt.com. This will
cover flash.mindjolt.com, cache.mindjolt.com, etc. You've got it
correct for Cave Jhones.

If done properly, your game will run MJ ads when on MindJolt (or our
supported platforms like Facebook). When the game is on a non-MJ site,
the alternative path (presumably with third party ads of your own
choosing) will be activated.

Please let us know if you get this to work, and if you come across any
tips or tricks. Many other game developers will no doubt want to
follow in the path you are blazing.
Yours, Marc

Hello,
I'm writing again to be a bit more precise:
Sitelocking should include any subdomain of mindjolt.com.  The game
will run on one of several domains, including flash.mindjolt.com,
cache.mindjolt.com, etc.  To be safe, you should allow any domain that
ends with .mindjolt.com

That was a very good question from Bradicus!

By the way, is it OK to use .mindjolt.com domain also to detect that a
game is running on your Mindjolt facebook page or we must use
something else?

@Srdjan, you want to site lock it to mindjolt.com not .mindjolt.com.
It could be possible that the swf is saved as http://mindjolt.com/games/game.swf,
then your .mindjolt site lock wouldn't allow this domain.

You can find ways of isolating the main domain only quite easily, then
all sub domains and the main domain will be covered in one go.

Facebook and most social networks apps are actually run from external
domains in iframes. I think mindjolt's facebook domain is something
like fb.mindjolt.com. So sitelocking to mindjolt.com will allow the
game to be played on mindjolt's facebook app and other social
networks.
