On a few games the game doesn't come up

Hi
For instance, when I try to play Mahjongg, the first two pages come up
for me to hit the "start" button, but then when I hit "start" to play
the actual game, the screen goes black. Nothing there. It's happened
on a few other games too. Please help!
Anyone know why this is?
