Hello, i just would like to know what is happening... My game Pandemic
Boy is already aproved to go live since 6 months... Today i just
checked that you guys put live the game The Dreamerz wich was released
by RobotJam a month ago or less...

So what is going on? Why a game probaly submited to mindjolt 2 weeks
ago is already on the site when mine wich is already aprroved since 6
months dont?

Did i have to update the mindjolt api version in the game or
something?

Matheus.

Hello Matheus, Javier,
At present, we have 274 games in our queue, some going back 10
months. We all know this is awful. To fix things, we are furiously
evaluating games to bring this backlog down quickly. A lot of this
work has just been finished and we are about ready to send out a bunch
of approval/rejection notices over the next few days. I’ll report back
soon, and expect to announce a much smaller number of games in the
approval queue.

I apologize for the frustration this delay has caused you and many
others. I honestly believe we've turned a corner, and our performance
over the next week will be a test.
Yours, Marc

Hello,
I’m writing to report on our backlog status. My colleagues have been
busy and We are down to 189 games in the queue. That’s still a big
number, and we won’t rest until we are done, but it is 85 less than
before. As the new guy, I’m impressed at how my co-workers stepped
up.

Most of the remaining games will be resolved (accepted or not) by
week’s end, and their developers will be thusly notified. As a heads
up, the biggest remaining issue for getting your game through the
queue and live is to replace any third party ads with the MindJolt ad
APIs.

However, level-based games in the submission queue are on hold just
now. With the level changes, these games last a long time before
submitting a score. They present a challenge to the current MindJolt
architecture, and their ad play doesn’t match current models. In
response, we’ll be releasing a Leveler API to enhance gameplay. I’ll
provide more details as they solidify. Until then, feel free to share
your ideas on the subject.

Yours, Marc

Hello,
I'm very happy (thrilled actually) to report that our backlog of games
has been taken care of. All of the games in the queue as of September
20, 2010 have been looked at and categorized.

In many cases, the games have been sent back to the developer for
rework. See my earlier message on common reasons:
http://support.developer.mindjolt.com/mindjoltdev/topics/what_are_the_reasons_that_games_do_not_get_accepted_on_mindjolt.
In some cases, the games were accepted and are already live or
scheduled to go live over the next week or two. Finally, a bunch of
games were rejected for uncorrectable reasons.

By now, if you submitted a game a while back, you should have heard on
the status. Please let me know if that isn't the case for you.
Sincerely,
Marc

PS I'm writing here to close out this thread on a happy note, though
the ongoing discussion for this topic should take place in our new
area:
