Hi,

Do I get some revenue from the ads in the new API? I can't find any
information about this.

Thanks

Now it displays mindjolt ads, does that mean mochiads will not work
any more for Mindjolt?
Think there'll be a lot less developers submitting games to mindjolt
if that's case, unless the mindjolt ads generate revenue for
developers, but I didn't see the info anywhere on Mindjolt's site.

Will games that were previously not accepted be approved if the new
api and ads are integrated? Really curious about this because I
thought I had 1 game in particularly that was unique and perfect for
mindjolt but was not approved

Hello Tikola, squirrelsquare, Xu Xiaojin, cbryant_03,
There are a bunch of questions in this thread, and I'll try to tackle
them.

Using MindJolt's new API, you certainly do get revenue. The MindJolt
ad APIs work like the third party services we previously supported,
with one big difference: THEY ARE BETTER. Forgive my shouting, but
MindJolt has put together our own advertising deals that will offer a
higher eCPM than before. So developers should be more motivated (not
less) to submit games.

New games must use the MindJolt APIs, but existing games that use
Mochi or other ads are still OK. However, we expect that when
developers start sharing stories of increased revenue from MindJolt
ads, a bunch of the existing third parties will be switched. If you’ve
got an existing game, consider switching and telling us how you do.

You are right in pointing out the weakness in our documentation and
I’ll look to get that fixed. I can see why there was confusion.

C-bryant asked whether updating the ads would result in a previously
rejected game being accepted. Without knowing the details of your
game, I can say with almost certainty that it wouldn’t make a
difference. In the past we weren’t rejecting for third-party ads, so
it was denied for another reason. Did you get any feedback on the
specific reject rationale?

Next week we will have our new, more graphical discussion area
operational. At that time, I think a great topic would be “Game that
were rejected”. Let’s discuss where you think things went went wrong,
and get feedback from the rest of us. Perhaps as a community of game
developers, we can learn from one another and increase the acceptance
rate for publishing on MindJolt (and getting paid!).

Are there any incentives for implementing the new API trafficwise? Are you
able to push an old game with new API for example?
