Sentience study circle

Due to an unfortunate turn of events our original Convenor for the Sentience Study Circle, James Giordano will no longer be able to attend the conference and as a result I have been asked to take his place as Convenor.

 

Firstly I should introduce myself, my name is Helen Proctor and I am the Science and Sentience Manager for the World Society for the Protection of Animals. I am responsible for WSPA's work on animal sentience, including the development and imminent launch of an online and interactive platform dedicated to the science of animal sentience. I would very much like to hear from you all so that I can begin preparations for our meeting in Utrecht. I would be very grateful if you could all please send me a short bio of yourself, covering what your role is, your areas of expertise and interest and the reason why you have joined the Sentience study circle. This will then help me to understand the group better and to begin mapping out potential topics of our discussion.
