Hi there. Dunno if there are any threads about this, apologies if I've duplicated one! But I'm desperate. Any news of any new updates/patch for the MIG-21Bis afterburner bug? :helpsmilie: Since the latest update, whenever I go to max power, or into 'afterburner' the engine rpm gauge won't go past 100%. Or are there anything new I've missed??
I've checked that there are no binding errors. The Emergency Afterburner and afterburner switches on the left panel are 'as is' (which is at default, and I guess nobody ever touches). Without afterburners I can't continue any mission - 'cos obviously I can't dogfight. I'm stuck and grounded. :(
for the afterburner to work, there's the afterburner switch, next to the engine relight switch, that's the main afterburner, so map an easy to access key to that, it's called Afterburner/Maximum on/off in the controls, and then directly infront of the throttle, next to the aileron booster switch, there's the 2nd afterburner switch, map a key to that too, called emergency afterburner on/off in the controls.
It now works as you describe, "afterburner" is now just that sprint. On the plu side all Archwings now have Blink if you double-tap Shift. I'mm assuming aftrburner was too slow for the Railjack maps and that's why they changed it.
I have also seen what BlueB1C2 has seen. The afterburner is more easily blocked for some reason. In KSP this was less of a problem because if the part was blocking an exhaust stream then it would become heated up and a heat indicator for the part would pop up. In this game, you should give all your engines a wide berth because you can even run into a partial thrust situation with occluded engines.
