I am in college and here we're allowed to access internet via the college proxy server only. I use a program named proxifier to tunnel all my connections(for the applications that do not support working through proxy) through the proxy. However It doesn't seem to work for windows store apps. Can anyone suggest how to tunnel store apps?

But node.exe is ignoring this rules for some reason, I can see in NetLimiter that the connection is coming from C:\Program Files (x86)\nodejs\node.exe, But adding this path to proxifier's rules has no effect, other apps like telegram itself and firefox and ... works fine with these rules ...

Eg- My college doesn't allow students to connect to torrent sites. But when we put a specific i.p address in proxifier and set the "protocol type" to HTTPS in proxifier, torrent sites open. How does it happen.Just this one specific ip(172.16.1.11) works, nothing else. What is so special with this ip.

Once I have a proxy connection (many proxy clients provide socks5 services locally for other software to use, but obviously most of them are not designed specifically for proxies), I usually want to configure proxies for some specific processes, not global proxies or for some ip addresses. So I found a powerful tool like proxifier, but it is commercial software, not open source and expensive (for me).

yeah this is all set up correct, I have tested making rules for chrome etc. and they work.
I have edited the files as seen in other posts to rename launchers to enable using different proxys per client.
Not sure if this could be messing it up,
But both launchers work when proxifier is turned off, then when turned on the one going through proxy won't load.

Again thanks for your reply.

Next, you configure Firefox and use a proxy on France (e.g france-proxy.fr). Firefox will try to connect to france-proxy.fr, and the request is intercepted by the proxifier. The connection gets redirected to germany-proxy.de, which will establish the connection to france-proxy.fr. On this moment, france-proxy.fr thinks you are from Germany, and germany-proxy.de knows where you are. The destination have not received anything from you yet.

Mistake visible in screenshot in proxifier is that fiddler was forced to go over fiddler via proxifier, because even tough it is told to go directly and that rule is properly prioritized in Proxifier, Fiddler already made its rules like it does always, in internet proxy settings. So there were double rules. Proxifier+Fiddler work perfectly for me:

Josh: My understanding is that even though you thought that you had this fixed... the problem with Proxifier does remain. It seems that closing proxifier momentarily, and then restarting proxifier again fixes the problem until the next login. Is that what you are seeing?

For windows systems I use a program called proxifier which forces ALL network traffic over the specified SOCKS/HTTPS proxy (except for individual programs added to the exception list). It works well on my windows systems but I need to do the same thing on my linux systems. I need a program for linux that forces network traffic through the specified SOCKS proxy. Does anyone here know of a good program like this for linux?

If you run a virtual machine then you should treat that virtual machine as another physical machine, including proxy configuration. So in order for your virtual machine to use a proxy, you will have to install proxifier in your guest operating systems as well.

Other features include proxifier can process all outgoing TCP connections, full IPv6 support, tunnel IPv4 connections through IPv6 proxy and vice versa, SOCKS 4 and SOCKS 4A (hostnames support) with User ID authentication, HTTPS with Basic and NTLM authentication, proxy failure is transparent for the client application if redundancy is enabled, selected proxies in the chain can be enabled or disabled, convenient UI that allows chain creation and reordering with drag-and-drop, system DNS and DNS over proxy modes, automatic DNS mode detection, and proxification rules can be based on application names, IP addresses, hostnames, and port numbers.

Thanks for response, i have messaged you.

For others reading i have tried this with no luck.
With cleared chaches i have tried to open OSRS client through proxifier with action set to direct and it still wont open but with proxifier closed it will open and work fine.
Not sure i'm quite clueless but i think something is stopping proxifier giving internet to the OSRS client?
Running proxifier as admin also with all fire walls turned off.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello, I used to use proxifier app for my window 11 machine, sadly this app is not compatible with Linux, only window, mac and android. I run on arch linux now and run window 11 in vm. Is there an App like Proxifier for Linux with GUI? So I can select an app and forward it threw a proxy, I tried to look on the internet for it and all I see are terminal ones only. Do you guys know how to make it works or an alternative to it?
