Brethren,

The Bible says, "But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: ----- And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron” (Deuteronomy 28:15, 23).

How tragic disobedience to God is! The heavens over you or over your family shall be like brass and the earth under our feet shall be as iron if you do not obey the Lord! A brassy heaven will never give rain – not even dew. When the ground under your feet is iron, all the labors to till the ground and plant seed will be in vain. This exactly describes the condition under which some of us and some of our families operate– even if we do pray.

Disobedience will result in brassy heavens! Sin in ou lives will shut the heavens and render our different fields of activity as hard as iron! When you look around you, you see the evidence of a brassy heaven and iron ground in the lives of the brethren and their families.

Financially, it is hard-going with many of our families. Many struggle to meet the needs of their families, despite their hard labor. For years, they've labored, but when they look back, it's as iff they've turn round and round and round . Spiritually, some brethren who were once dynamic and fruit bearing Christians have just grown cold. Some have lost their joy and the glory they once carried....

This is what happens when we walk in disobedience.

For us to have a joyful and prosperous life, we have to pray and also walk in obedience. Holiness is the end-product of obedience. Holiness is a must! Let us face this very squarely! Holiness is a must. What the average of us today knows about God is that God is good, God blesses, He heals, He prospers, etc. While all these are true about Our God and Heavenly Father, it is not enough.

Is there anyone that does not also know God to be all of that. What then is the difference? Every one of us should know about God is that GOD IS HOLY! The God who made the heavens and the earth is Holy. The God, Creator of all things is holy. Your God is holy.

Our  holiness will melt the sky of brass over us and break the ground of iron that prevents any seed of our labors from growing. God is waiting to hear the prayers of a people who walk in Obedience to Him. “Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you” (Hosea 10:12).

My Beloved, do you realize that if things have been so hard, it is in part due to your disobedience to God? Oh! That our eyes will be opened so we grasp this eternal truth:

Our holiness will melt the sky of brass over us and break the ground of iron that prevents any seed of our labors from growing.

Are you/Will you abandon all sins in your life and live a life of holiness? You have the choice to determine whether melt the sky of brass over you will melt and the ground of iron that prevents any seed of our labors from growing broken, or determine by your disobedience to God's commandments that   melt the sky of brass over you will not melt and the ground of iron that prevents any seed of our labors from growing further hardened.

The choice is yours.

Brother Alphonse,

Thank you greatly for your comments, and sorry for my late reply. Yes, christians should not only turn to God in fervent prayers in order to mitigate not his wrath, but the consequences of their sins, but they should also repent from their sins, then turn radically away from them, turn to God and be baptized for the remission of these sins. Then a new day will begin.

It is true that a violation of the Ten Commandments is hurtful. If the world has ignored the presence of God, Christians can mitigate God's wrath by turning to him in  fervent prayers.
My opinion. On Ash Wednesday the first day of lent on the Christian calendar, Christians should turn away from ignominy to a contemplation of Glory. In order words do repent and believe in the Bible which touches on Br. Patrice’s reflection.

MINCAM is currently engaged in a great awakening and awareness for our Number One Issue, the acquisition and renovation of the Cameroon Community Center (CCC). When realized, the CCC will be the hub of Cameroonian-American life in Minnesota. We are asking that you consider supporting this effort
