“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. TREAT HER AS YOU SHOULD SO YOUR PRAYERS WILL NOT BE HINDERED” (1 Peter 3:7).
My beloved,
Did you know that the way you treat your wife has a direct impact on the effectiveness of your prayers? If you treat your wife well, your prayers may be answered. If you don’t treat her well, your prayer may not be answered. This is one of God’s prayer answering principles. “Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered”
You’ve cried out to God for years, but yet, when you look at your life, does it feel like the heavens above you are sealed? Re-examine the way your treat your wife. If we are treating our wives with honor, kindness and respect, we are allowing God’s righteousness to operate in our lives. If we treat our wives with discontent, rudeness, … we are closing the door to God’s power in our lives. This will seriously hinder our prayers. “Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered”
Can we therefore suggest that the quality of the treatment of our wives determines the quality of the life we will have? The better we treat our wives, the better our own life will be. The worse we treat our wives, the worse our life will be. One of the keys to answered prayers is a kind treatment of our wives. My beloved, do you believe this?
When you look at a man, and his life is upside down, it is indicative of the fact that he doesn’t treat his wife well. And because he is does not treat his wife well, God is not answering his prayers. His prayers are hindered. His prayers are not being answered. “Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered
The worst that can happen to someone if for his prayers not to be answered. The worst that can happen to someone if for God to turn his back to him. Do you want your prayers to be answered? Do you want God to smile on you? “Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered”.
If this is true, and I believe it is, then one of our foremost resolutions for this year should be to treat our wives such that the following scripture will not be true in our lives: “ The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.”
Oh! That the Lord will grant us the grace to treat our wives such that when he looks at us, he will not say that we are breaking his heart! Such that when he looks at us, he will not say that he is sorry he ever made us and put us on earth. And there will be a new day, and we will move to new heights. And our affairs will go well, and we will have a less stressful and painful life. And we will have a prosperous life. Because God is answering our prayers.
