Client keeps looking for a secure server but the install doesn't install certificates. Is this required?

Hello Garland,

SSL certificates are strongly recommended for production use, as they ensure secure communication between the server and clients. While the use of certificates with SSL is optional, it is considered best practice for securing sensitive data. The client can accept connections to both HTTP and HTTPS URLs. To be sure, please make sure to enter the full URL, e.g., http://my.server.name.com

Patrick,

Thanks for the reply but this installation is on the same network behind a firewall and the client is trying to connect via https:// even though we are telling it otherwise.

When you try to configure a new backup. You need to enter the url "http://12.34.56.78:8080" or something similar.

If this is not working. Could you provide a screenshot and the application logs ?

Thanks
