Image backups

Let me say first, great work to you and all that have contributed and still contribute to an amazing product. I wanted to ask if or even suggest in the future being able to do linux and windows image backups? Thanks

Hello Keith,

Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, Minarca Backup is based on rdiff-backup, which is specialized in file-based backups. There are currently no plans to support image-based backups. If you are looking for an image backup solution, it would be better to consider other alternatives.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm currently waiting for your docker version on this application. This will suite my needs just fine. Urbackup is currently what I use for images, but they haven't updated in some time. Worried they not get back to it.

Hello Keith,

A beta version of the Docker image is available for testing, thanks to the work of other contributors: https://hub.docker.com/r/ikus060/minarca-server

Until the official release, you can use the alpha version: 6.1.0a3

I plan to release the final versions of both Minarca Server and Minarca Client in June 2025.
