I live in Australia so I'm far away from the dangers of bear attacks in my backyard, but if one got loose or I find myself somewhere where bears roam free, say the US, and I encounter one, could I defend myself by kicking it in the balls? I've read that "if it's black fight back and if it's brown lay down" so if I come face to face with a black bear and it has balls, would kicking them be effective? Has anyone done it before?

Yesterday the Nuggets seemed like they had at least 10 kick ball violations. I think after a player has 2 in a game a tech should be assessed. Or maybe resetting the shot clock to 24 seconds instead of 14.

Fortunately, there is a wide range of soccer balls to choose from, even for your pint-sized pooch. Some soccer balls have grooves to make them easier for small mouths to grip. Others are miniature versions of a soccer ball. Whatever dog you have, there is a soccer ball toy to suit.

You probably already have a ball at home. You can also make soft balls to play with inside. For example, use a pair of rolled-up socks or a scrunched-up piece of newspaper and some tape. Just start with what you have.

For kicking, your child needs to be able to balance on one foot. If your child has trouble kicking, they could hold onto a tree or a piece of playground equipment while you kick a ball back and forth.

Small balls can be fun for your older child to bounce or throw at a target. You can also play ball games using bats or racquets. For example, you could take a cricket bat and tennis ball to the park. You could also hit a ball of scrunched-up newspaper across the family room with a small racquet.

Your older child might also like to play a game of soccer or kick-to-kick at the park with a group of friends. You can guide your child and their friends towards fair play by keeping the rules simple and being ready to step in if children have trouble with sharing or losing.

"He kicked me in my balls as soon as I opened the door," DeYoung told the outlet while being interviewed in the ER, adding that he had suffered a broken rib and intended to press charges against Chapman.

As pointed out by HuffPo on Monday, an April meeting of the Michigan Republican Party leadership in the same building also turned to party infighting. The incident resulted in significantly less ball-kicking, however, with the spat ultimately defused after one woman sloppily shoved the face of another.

In the NFL, special balls ("K-Balls") are used for kicking plays. These balls are harder and slicker than the balls used during normal play. My understanding is that kickers don't really like using the k-balls because they are harder to kick. Is there a rule that governs when a k-ball is used and is there any way for a team to exploit those rules?

If the ball lands in the foul zone, the kicker must try again and the foul will count as a strike. If a fielding player catches the ball before it touches the ground, the kicker is automatically out. If a fielding player manages to get the ball and pass it to one of the players on the base the runner is going to before the runner gets there, the runner is out. If any fielding player manages to touch the runner with the ball while holding it in their hand, the runner is out.

1.04 Any player or Referee wholly or partly in fair territory is an extension of fair territory. Any live base runner outside the kicking box is fair, even when wholly in foul territory. A player jumping from fair territory is in fair territory while in the air. A player in foul territory does not extend foul territory by jumping or reaching into fair territory.

1.07 Sideline area. Prior to the kick, no participants (or spectators) may be in the sideline area (see Rule 1.01e and Diagram 2) except for the kicker, Referees and designated base coaches (see Rule 6.01). After the kick, fielders and base runners in the process of playing the game may also occupy the sideline area. The first infraction of this rule will result in a warning to the team that caused the infraction. The second and each subsequent infraction will result in an out for the next kicker in the written kicking order on the team that caused the infraction.

10.05 A tag-up is a requirement to retouch or stay on a base until a kicked then caught ball is first touched by a fielder. After a tag-up a runner may advance. A runner failing to tag-up as required is out (see Rule 14.02f).

Angular kinematics of the hip, knee, and ankle joints, as well as ball velocity and accuracy for stationary and rolling balls were compared in a futsal (Five-a-Side Indoor soccer) context. Ten futsal athletes performed five kicks each on stationary and rolling futsal balls. Six digital cameras (120 Hz) recorded the kicks. For both kick types, angles for hip, knee, and ankle joints were calculated using Euler angle conventions. Angular velocity, ball velocity, foot linear velocity, relative velocity, and accuracy also were analyzed. The kicking of both stationary and rolling balls showed similarities for ball velocity (24.2 +/- 2.2 m/s and 23.8 +/- 2.7 m/s, respectively), foot velocity (17.6 +/- 1.8 m/s and 17.2 +/- 2.2 m/s, respectively), and accuracy (26% and 24% target hits, respectively). We observed few differences in angular kinematics and angular joint velocities between kick types. Elite players can make online adjustments in the preparatory phase so that kicking a rolling ball is almost exactly like kicking a stationary ball.

I swapped playfields on my Firepower about two years ago and after the swap everything worked fine. Almost a year ago I moved into a new house and just recently I finally had time to setup my pins (I've been redoing my basement). Firepower is having an issue if you lock a ball, two balls eject into the shooter lane. I'm pretty sure what's happening is that one of the switches in the trough "thinks" that it didn't eject a ball. I ran a switch test and everything shows good. Just to let you know, the trough switches are micro switches, which I don't think are original to Firepower.
