I don't want to change bank on the tempus - I just want it to change to patch B from A when I hit footswitch 3 (snapshot 3) and vice versa. I seem to have tried everything including the new command center but can't seem to get it to work.
Sorry to necro this thread, but I just got a Stomp and am trying to configure it to control my tempus. I don't understand the first reply. When I look in Command Center, I only seem to pick between MC and CC as midi options. Within the CC options, I don't see any options for PC.
Also, since there are a limited number of IC's in Command Center, is it possible to just call up a preset on the Tempus that already has all the parameters you want saved instead of sending multiple CC messages to configure what you want each time?
So if I understand you correctly, in Command Center, my first IC would be set to Bank/Program, and I would set the "Program" number to the preset number on my Tempus, and then use a second IC to select Channel A or B using the correct CC message?
SpecLab is easy to use and, helpfully, allows you to squirrel away additional patches on your computer to dig up when you need them. You can also use it to restrict the number of presets that can be accessed from the pedal's front panel. This is probably a good plan for live performance, as the only way to select presets from the footswitches is to press both together briefly, taking you to the next bank. The individual switches are then used to select the A or B preset in that bank, but as you can only move 'up' through the presets, if you miss the one you want you have to cycle through the whole lot to get back to it. New presets are not loaded until you make the final switch press, so you can navigate to the bank holding the preset you want to bring up next and then keep playing the existing preset until you hit the A or B footswitch to load in the new one.
SpecLab doesn't display a full list of what's in the pedal slots. That would have made navigation easier than it is, but on the whole it's very straightforward. You need to be aware that when you ask it to load a patch from the pedal, it loads the one selected on the SpecLab screen, not the preset currently selected in the pedal itself. An option to sync to the current pedal patch (as many other editors do), would have been useful.
Specular Tempus is a powerful reverb and delay effect processor in a compact pedal. Featuring 32 hand-crafted algorithms, 32 presets. stereo in/out, tap-tempo, and extensive inter-connectivity. Using the SpecLab software (free download) users get...
Tap-Tempo : you can tap in your tempo using an external tap pedal or on the pedal itself (using a special mode). Subdivisions can be specified uniquely for each preset.
Auto knob swell : when you engage this feature, the parameter controlled by one of the knob is slowly swept to the maximum value, hold it there, and then swept back to the original setting. Used judiciously, this feature can introduce dynamic elements to the soundscape.
Analog Dry-thru : dry signals are routed through pure analog paths.
Small form-factor : the pedal measures 12 x 9 (cm) or 4.7 x 3.5 (inch).
2. I stored preset on my GFI SPecular Tempus via the PC button, but now whenever I try to store a different preset on another switcher channel, it keeps recalling the GFI preset that I stored first. Only solution that came to my mind would be sending CC message to change the patch, which almost beats the purpose of having midi capable switcher.
Interconnectivity : Specular Tempus has been designed with the need to interconnect with the outside world in mind. It features no less than 4 interfaces that greatly expand the specular horizon :

The 36 algorithms are made up of 13 Reverbs, 17 Delay and 8 Combination settings. Just about everything you could want from these two genres is available, including Room, Shimmer, Vortex, Infinity, Analog, Dual Stereo and many, many more. Speaking of Stereo, the Specular Tempus boasts Stereo Inputs and Outputs, making it the perfect vehicle for delivering on any and all musical setups you can think to throw at it, for a customized and dialed-in rig. Blend, Decay/Time, Param and Intensity/Repeats make up the control section, used to set reverb and delay settings in real time, and control them for saving your favorite presets.
