This pc is about 2 months old, and for a week now I just started getting the error "video driver hung and was restarted"
The screen freezes, the sound also, then it takes me to the desk and in a couple of seconds it returns to the game. The textures are reduced and above figure for a moment "video driver hung and was restarted". As I play SIM, it usually causes me to crash.
I have tried the following things to solve it:
-Reinstall the game. Delete it even with ccleaner and reinstall too.
-Add drivers. Delete the current nvidia driver with DDU, try an old one, try again with a new one. The error persists.
-Update BIOS, microprocessor drivers, all the drivers you may need with the "Drive Booster" program.
Nothing works.- I looked for if someone had the same problem with the GTX1060 and I saw that a user reported that activating "Open GL" could solve it ....
The problem was worse since now when crashing, the game directly closes.
it happens with any graphical quality, with openGL activated or deactivated, with VSyinc activated or deactivated.
When I was connecting Headphone in the front panel port of CPU I couldn't hear any sound, actually it couldn't detect the headphone. But when I'm connecting it in the back panel port it can detect. And sound box is also working fine from the back panel, but not from front panel. This problem occurs only when I'm using Ubuntu 18.04, but in Windows 10 Pro it works fine from both of the panels (I use Win 10 & Ubuntu 18.04 in dual boot). My CPU config is 3.5GHz Intel G-4560, H110M PRO VH Plus MSI motherboard, Intel HD 610 GPU.Is the problem because of drivers? If so then how fix this (or how to install it) ? Or any kind of suggestion how to fix it. Thanks in advance!
Also note that the Headphones volume will continue to show zero in Alsamixer for some reason, but sound will still be there. If you want a greater degree of control over the mixer, somebody recommended qashctl ..... check it out. For me, Alsamixer did the job, so I didn't bother
Press up-down arrow keys to control sound in your Headphone.
Now to save the configuration run this command:
sudo alsactl store
So the next time you open your pc, it will boot-up with that config.
After the last line, add a new line. This line let the laptop to recognize the audio card. My audio card name is CA0132. You can find the name of audio card by: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec* grep Codec
Today I faced the same problem that unable to hear any sound if headphone connected even unable to test it out from settings > sounds but able hear properly if headphone not connected using laptop inbuilt speaker.
Then I pressed Function key + F6 and was able to see USB2.0 which was my headphone. So select it and then press m and increase it from 00 by pressing upper arrow key and after that was able to hear sound properly.
If the driver listed is not the right version or operating system, search our driver archive for the correct version. Enter MSI H110M PRO-VH PLUS into the search box above and then submit. In the results, choose the best match for your PC and operating system.
I have an HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0018 pc and have tried connecting both my drawing tablet and desktop to it because manually switching them out was getting annoying, so I bought a USB C to HDMI adapter.
But whenever I try connecting either of the devices to it, it says 'signal not found'. Tried connecting them one at a time, too, no dice. I know there's no issue with the adapter since I used it to connect my iPad and drawing tablet (worked). I also updated my driver to make sure, and still nothing. I'm wondering if the USB C port (USB 3.1 gen 1) doesn't support DP alt?
If, after going through these steps, the issue persists, it may be helpful to consult the user manuals of your devices or contact the manufacturers' support for further assistance. They may provide specific guidance based on the make and model of your laptop, adapte , rand external display.
