It's time! Send us your poetry, prose, and visual art for the upcoming Mima'amakim journal. And don't forget to spread the word; anyone you know who might be interested...we're interested in them, so send 'em our way!
There are two ways to submit. You can send us your work directly via email to makimj...@gmail.com. You can also post your work on our web forums at www.mimaamakim.org. Just send us an email letting us know that you want the work that you've posted to the forums to be considered for publication.
Submissions Guidelines:
1) Prose submissions should not exceed 5 pages in length. Excerpts from longer pieces are welcome. Prose submissions can be fiction, relevant non-fiction, interviews, essays...
2) Poetry submissions should include no more than 3 poems.
3) Visual art submissions should ideally be in a high resolution .jpg file. If you have a website you may also direct us to your site and specific works. We are interested in highlighting both upcoming and accomplished artists.
We are also looking for people who are interested in helping with editing, copy-editing, layout, and other aspects of the journal production process. Send us an email with a paragraph or two describing how you'd like to contribute and what your qualifications are by the submissions deadline. Potential contributors to the journal may also be editors, just let us know about your interest in the body of your submission email.
The deadline for submission is Thurs. October 1st. Send us your best work!
