Hello,
Following a very successful REN Intensive in Los Angeles, I invite you to submit a short proposal to participate in the 2016 REN Full-day preconference intensive. This intensive is based from the discussion at the EDRA46 REN Network Meeting.


EDRA 47 REN Pre-Conference Intensive - Full Day - Wednesday, May 18


Title: Shifting Culture - Shifting Values: The Nexus of Cultural Change and Well-being in Urban Residential Environments

Intensive submission to Track #1 Shifting Values


This session will examine core research concerns and new typologies at the intersection of cultural change and well-being in urban residential environments around the world. The following are several possible subtopics within this broader theme that should be considered in the context of local and global cultural change:



  • Housing motivations and modes of inhabitation of contemporary traditional & non-traditional households;

  • New urban residential models of supportive housing;

  • Reconsideration of residential density in contemporary multi-cultural urban settings; Strategies to address health in residential environments of contemporary multi-cultural urban settings;

  • Strategies to improve well-being in residential environments of contemporary multi-cultural urban settings.

  • Policy considerations and evaluations


If you have an interest in presenting as part of this intensive on May 18, 2016 -


Please send a title, 100 to 200-word abstract, your full name and affiliation, and your contact information.


Deadline 5pm September 30, 2015.


I will work with my co-organizers to finalize the proposal and submit by EDRA's October 2nd deadline.
