to Manners In Minutes Dog Training: Using the Q-collar
Not only am I having a great time with Cassidy and performance,
photos, tricks, etc. I was able to have a hands on with her and a 4
year old child.

My Niece brought her new boyfriend and his 4 year old over for
Christmas. The 4-year old has some issues with attention difficulties.
The child has large dogs at home, and has learned to respect them. He
fell in love with Cassidy. I was impressed as when I offered to let
him "lead" Cassidy around the house a bit on a lead, the father told
his son that the son's job was to keep Cassidy safe.

The child and Cassidy did great together; it was all supervised by me
and the father. After about 10 minutes the boy started to have
attention issues and was getting very excited and tugging on Cassidy's
lead. The father and I both stopped it appropriately and I took
Cassidy back. During this entire time Cassidy was totally appropriate,
she was not nervous or scared, and she followed the child everywhere.

Then last night, while at my Mom's house, I was tired I admit and was
sitting across the room from my Mom talking to her. She has some
memory and attention issues. I was trying to explain something to her
and found myself getting impatience and raising my voice.

Cassidy was sitting next to me and Maggie was very close by in her
"spot." Cassidy started to growl at Maggie for no real reason; until I
realized that she was me growling at my Mom. That was an eye opener,
and when I calmed down, Cassidy calmed down. It was not overt
aggression of any type, just growling.

It was wonderful to watch Cassidy in both situations.
