Hi swimmers,
As I'm sure you all know Walt is no longer coaching the masters swim. I have stepped in to keep the group going and the process to make my position official has started. With that said the last couple of weeks has had very low or no attendance. With the beautiful weather and lake temps I don't blame anyone for wanting to be outside. I would like some feedback as to everyone's interest in the group (if your going to come back) and what you need to work on. I have had many offers to help get my feet wet with the coaching so I can get you the workouts and help you need.
After all of that I am a big slacker and I will not be coming tonight. If anyone is swimming let me know and I will get you a workout.

Preston,

Thanks for stepping up! Do to combination of tapering for the year and having a baby, I will not be doing the swim workouts again until next year.

Good luck!

Congratulations Preston. Walt left a large pair of flippers to fill, but I'm sure you're up to the task.

Now that Pewaukee Tri is done, and I've been assessed to have a shoulder impingement and not a tear (yeah!), I do plan to start swimming once more. As much as I'd like to swim outside in the mornings, Monday nights fit my schedule better. No need to craft workouts with me in mind. I'll just do what I can given the shoulder constraints.

I will be returning in fall to assume my position as the "token really old
guy hoping not to look too bad in a pool of young whipper snappers" (Scott
excluded)! I'm taking advantage of the T & R 6:00 a.m. swimming at Hoyt!!

See ya'll in fall!

Congrats on the new position! You didn't even drop the kickboard as it was
passed on!

I will be returning in the fall as the "token old guy trying to keep up
with the young whipper snappers" (no, scott....you're not one of them).
I've been taking advantage of the early morning swim on T & R at Hoyt!

See ya'll in fall!

Preston,

Thanks for taking on the role as the next Walt! I will be coming to the
swim next Monday I believe. If you plan on being there, so will I!
