Who wants to redesign mkerb.org?
I'm assuming we'll keep using meetup, but maybe just a one page splash with some links to meetup, some twitter accounts, etc.

Any takers?

Correction - we'd rebuild it in the next couple weeks, and present a "how we did it" talk at a Ruby MKE monthly meetup in the future.

The next question is what we want the design to look like, and what we use? Sinatra, Rails 3, etc. If the hosting currently doesn't support that, I can stick it on my linode. Just an option that I'm willing to offer.

Considering the old site is in Radiant, I don't think hosting for either Sinatra or rails3 would be an issue. Right, Geoff?

Have Fun,

We can stick with radiant, as well. I wasn't sure what the sure was running on.

Radiant isn't Rails3 ready, yet. So, do we fix that, hack together something completely new and different, or what? Let's think blank slate for a bit, eh?

What do we want to do?

I think you guys might be overcomplicating it a bit. :)
I was thinking literally just 1 HTML page would probably be great. We can start with that and always add more later if we actually need any functionality.

Hey Guys,

Sorry I haven't chimed in on this. I do think it would be valuable to
make this happen. I have some design ideas, going in my head, I just
need to turn them into pixels.

One page to start off with would be fine. It would at least give more
accurate info.

Eventually I would like to have pull in info from Meetup.com, and use
it to post announcements, Meeting followup notes such as slides, and
maybe even embed video from our meetups via vimeo, youtube, or
something of the sorts. Also, if we were ever to get a sponsor, I
would like to have a space for that on the page.

Are there any other things people thing would be worthwhile to have on
the site?
