You might look into the MadRailers Google Group. It's the best place to contact the Madison Ruby Community. Also, Chi.rb it's possible some folks might travel to attend or even speak. I'll pass the word to those I know in those areas.

In semi-related news, although still aways out, we're planning a Madison Ruby Conference for Fall of 2011. We're looking for you input:

Hi Jim,

Thanks for sharing. I am actually exchanging emails with Ray Hightower
who currently heads up Chicago Ruby.

Out of curiosity are you in currently in the mid-west, or are you
still in Florida?

Thx,

Alex

I attended meetings in Minneapolis and could get the emails of the guys who run that if you are interested.

I am still in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Although, by the end of the year
I'll have made the trip home (read: to Madison) 5-6 separate times.
The next trip will be to see Ray Hightower and speak at Windy City
Rails with a very likely follow on trip to Madison with Robert Pitts
the following week. If schedules align perhaps Robert and I could make
it over to a Milwaukee meetup.
