Reviews and Feedback!
We welcome hearing what you thought of the first AMROB- all feedback appreciated!
•Here’s a fun gem- “Honestly, I would have been extremely bummed had it not rained. It just adds that much more excitement and thrill and real ness to it. I absolutely LOVED it!! Even though we only made it to #7. We can't wait to do it again. It was a good learning experience for next time. Like how not to get lost for the 1st hour etc. ;) that and invest in a road bike will make it a teensy bit easier. Either way road bike or mountain we're DEFINITELY doing it again!!”
•Kory Klein has a great write-up of her bike adventure with her husband:

Deb Usinger
As I was biking to one my favorite AMR locations, the Spice House on 3rd street, I saw a poster that informed me that Debra Usinger had died in July. Deb was integral to helping the very first Amazing Milwaukee Race get on its feet. As I was starting to take on what it meant to put an event of this nature together, my young scared self was extremely intimidated about approaching a big company like Usingers. I got to sit with Deb and go through my ideas. She immediately jumped on board, and exclaimed that the businesses in Milwaukee really NEED something like this, they need to let themselves have fun again. Without hesitating, she insisted that we get two of the company’s most expensive gift baskets as prizes for the winners. She was immensely supportive, and really gave me the confidence to go after organizing these events. I’ll never forget her final words to me as we parted, “we have to remember the most important thing about this. . .[she put her hands in the air and shook like a muppet]. . .because it’s for your birthday!!!!” (The first Amazing Milwaukee Race was organized as my 30th birthday party.) I was looking forward to working with Deb again, and she will be sadly missed.
